Job Title: Forklift Driver – Wood Pallet Production Plant
Job Summary:
Our client is seeking reliable and safety-conscious Forklift Drivers. This client is a
leading wood pallet production located in Vaughan. Forklift Drivers play a vital role in
ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and loading of wood pallets within the plant.
This position requires precision, adherence to safety protocols, and ability to work in a
fast-paced environment.
Please note – The Wood Pallet Production plant is a loud, noisy fast paced
environment. Forklift drivers are driving forklift for the entire shift, you must be
comfortable working in this type of environment.
Drivers with Double Fork and pallet experience will be given priority.
Multiple Shifts Available
Morning - 6:15-3:30 PM Monday-Friday
Afternoon-evenings 2:30-11:30 PM Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to move, load, and unload raw materials, finished pallets, and
    other products within the plant and storage areas.
  • Transport materials to and from production lines, storage facilities, and
    shipping/receiving docks.
  • Organize and maintain inventory locations to ensure efficient workflow and
    accessibility.
  • Conduct routine pre-operational safety checks on forklifts to ensure equipment is
    functioning properly.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, including
    removing debris and unused materials.
  • Follow safety guidelines and company policies to prevent workplace accidents
    and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules
    and maintain efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including assisting in pallet assembly or repair
    during downtime.
    Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain one through the company).
  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse
    environment, preferably in wood products or similar industries.
  • Fast-pace cross-dock experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, including safe forklift
    operation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including overtime or weekends, as needed.
    Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of wood pallet production or related manufacturing processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude for basic equipment troubleshooting.
    Work Environment:
  • Primarily indoors in a manufacturing environment, with occasional outdoor work
    in storage areas.
  • Exposure to wood dust, noise, and heavy machinery (appropriate personal
    protective equipment will be provided).
  • Standing, walking, bending, and operating machinery for extended periods.
    Compensation:
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience $19-22
  • Benefits package, on-site parking.

    Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour
