About the Role

As a full-time Server, you are central to our mission of delivering outstanding hospitality. What You'll Do

  • Present food and beverage menus, provide detailed explanations of daily features, and answer questions regarding ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Take accurate orders and input them efficiently into our Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring all special requests are properly noted.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with the kitchen and bar staff regarding severe food allergies, dietary restrictions, and timing of courses.
  • Deliver food and beverages promptly, conducting continuous table maintenance and checking back to ensure complete guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked dining area before, during, and after service, adhering to all health and safety standards.
  • Process payments accurately, handle cash and credit card transactions, and confidently reconcile your daily cash out at the end of the shift.
  • Collaborate with hosts, bussers, bartenders, and fellow servers to ensure smooth table turnovers, rapid response times, and consistent service across the floor.
  • Complete comprehensive opening, running, and closing side work as assigned by the management team.

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 1 to 2 years of serving experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for customer service and creating positive guest interactions.
  • Valid provincial responsible beverage service certification (such as Smart Serve) is mandatory.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and highly efficient during peak dining hours and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and mobility to stand, walk, and carry items (up to 25 lbs, such as large trays of food or bins of glassware) for the duration of a full shift.
  • Flexibility to work a varied, full-time schedule, which will include days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
  • A high standard of personal presentation, hygiene, and punctuality.

Nice to Have

  • Prior experience working with modern, cloud-based restaurant POS systems.
  • A strong foundation of knowledge in wine varietals, craft beer, and classic cocktails.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
