About the Role
Camp Kirk is a supportive, neuro-affirming summer camp where every camper and every staff member belongs. As a Cabin Counsellor you live with your campers and a co-counsellor and make sure each child feels safe, included and celebrated all summer.

Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a cabin group day and night
- Help campers who feel dysregulated or overwhelmed with patience and care
- Lead and join camp programs, evening activities and ceremonies
- Work as a team with your co-counsellor and the program staff
- Keep daily notes and bring concerns to the Camp Director quickly
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older by the start of camp
- Experience working with children or youth, such as volunteering, coaching or camp
- Patience, energy and a good sense of humour
- Able to live on site for the full summer
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting neurodivergent children or youth
- First Aid and CPR certification
- Previous summer camp experience
Location and Work Arrangement
On site at Camp Kirk in Kirkfield, Ontario, for the full summer season of about two and a half months.
