About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager, generalist in nature, who will serve as the primary expert for preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, including corporation, partnership, trust and individual filings. This role is dedicated to serving discerning, high net worth clients who expect and require white-glove service. You will own the tax compliance process and play a crucial advisory role, operating with real ownership and no layers of bureaucracy.

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and review of tax returns of all types, including corporations, complex partnerships, trusts, estates, and individual filings.
Tax planning and strategy development for high-net-worth clients.
Participation in business development activity.
Mentorship and supervision of less experienced team members.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or related field. A Master's in Tax is highly desirable but not required.
Active CPA license in good standing.
Over 8 years of experience within a private accounting firm dealing with multiple clients across various industries.
Demonstrable experience dealing with complex tax situations, including trusts,, complex partnerships, and private equity/venture capital investments.
Real estate taxation experience including bonus depreciation, cost segregation, 1031 exchanges, and installment sales.
Experience researching complex tax issues and advocating positions.
Interest and exposure to private client and wealth management services
Experience resolving tax issues with the IRS and state departments of revenue.
Nice to Haves: SALT experience and exposure to international tax issues.
