About the Role
We are seeking a talented and motivated Photonics Engineer, R&D to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the research and development of advanced photonic technologies, working on innovative projects that push the boundaries of optical science and engineering. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design, prototype, and test photonic devices and systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop photonic components, devices, and systems for R&D projects.
- Conduct simulations, modeling, and analysis of optical systems.
- Prototype and test photonic devices in laboratory settings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.
- Document research findings, experimental results, and technical specifications.
- Stay current with advancements in photonics and related technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in photonic device design, simulation, and testing.
- Proficiency with photonics simulation tools (e.g., Lumerical, COMSOL, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant field.
- Experience with integrated photonics, fiber optics, or laser systems.
- Familiarity with cleanroom fabrication processes.
- Track record of published research or patents in photonics.
